SCORE!!! I MADE IT TO NEW YORK!!!

May 26, 2011

I'm very excited to share with you all that one of my photographs made it on display in an art exhibition at the Ace Hotel in New York! It was hand-selected by one of my favorite artists, Chase Jarvis himself! To be appreciated for your work by an artist you admire is an incredible feeling! With the momentum going, the goal now is to go around the world and show my art in as many art exhibitions as possible. Thanks everyone for your love and support in my crazy career. Love you all!

CREATIVE LOVE

May 23, 2011

How do you want your wedding photos to look? Traditional? Vintage? Grunge? There is no right or wrong style when it comes to wedding photography, just as long as you get photos that bring out your unique personality and tell your story. Many engaged couples opt for the traditional look for their wedding photos, but have you ever thought about something a little more...creative? Don't be afraid to explore this area and break the norm. You deserve to have whatever photos you want because, well, IT'S YOUR WEDDING!

Below are some of my examples of creative wedding photography. And if you want to book me for your wedding, email me at --> sidneydiongzon@yahoo.com

Hope you enjoy!

ISAIAH & ANDREA: A WEDDING IN THE MOUNTAINS

May 20, 2011

Congrats to Isaiah & Andrea! This beautiful wedding was shot in the beautiful mountains of Oak Glen, California. The autumn leaves and the golden sun painted a perfect picture everywhere I went, and Isaiah & Andrea just made my camera smile. Enjoy!

GREAT, ANOTHER "VINTAGE" PHOTO (part 2)

May 5, 2011

After my last blog about vintage wedding photography, I heard some great conversations from many photographers that agreed and disagreed with what I had to say. Some were hardcore vintage fanatics, and some thought vintage was a fad. Whether you agree or disagree, you must be truthful to YOUR OWN STYLE of photography. If you're vintage, shoot vintage. If you're more traditional, shoot traditional. Don't follow a trend simply because it's the cool thing at the moment. True artists never follow trends...they set them.

AIRPORTS & MARRIAGE: A LOVE LETTER TO MY WIFE

May 3, 2011

And there you were. Looking back at me in a congested sea of travelers and machines. From afar I whispered to you, "I love you." I know you heard me because you smiled and whispered it back. I think I fell in love with you a little bit more today. Airports seem to be our third home, haven't they?

The past 10 days were some of the most incredible days I've ever spent with you. The traveling, the sun, the cuddles...each moment so very precious to me (probably because we haven't seen each other for two months!). I'll never forget the secret moments where I'd simply stare at you while you looked out the window on the train. I'll never forget taking in each cuddle trying to remember your smell. And I'll never forget the number of times I've counted you laugh and smile.

We've been through a lot as a newly wed couple. Probably more than most normal couples do when they get married. But those two months without seeing you was the most difficult time for me. Sleeping on that couch alone, applying for that Visa, trying to make money, and even seeing the truth of certain friendships made it the most difficult period in my life. And I know how difficult it was for you too - coming home to an empty flat, eating dinner alone, while making money for the both of us so we can just get by. But sweetheart, we're almost there.

I'm coming home soon. Just a few more things to wrap up and we'll get to put all this behind for good. So don't be sad when you arrive home without me there. Be excited that I'll be COMING HOME SOON! God's got some amazing things planned for us, so let's honor him by finishing this race strong.

I love you.

Your Crazy American Boy,
Sidney
